GRAMMAR

Comparative form:

quick – quickerย  “He is quicker than me”

More than 2 syllables: active – more active

Superlative form:

quick – the quickest “He is the quickest student in our class”

More than 2 syllables: active – the most active

Some exceptions:

good – better – the best

bad – worse – the worst

little – less – the least

far – farther – the farthest

many / much – more – the most

Example:

This triangle is bigger than this one.

My mother is smaller than my father.

Summer is the best season.

Juice is the most popular drink.

EXERCISES

1) Look at the picture from “Vocabulary” and say which figures are bigger/smaller and which figures are the biggest/the smallest

2) Who is the tallest / the shortest in your family?

3) What is the fastest and the most comfortable transport for you?
